Davie, this is really coincidental. I was trying to find a cemetery east of Somerville that was listed in a FAyette Co., TN cemetery book, and we wound up at a cemetery called Rehobeth. In it was a name I had not remembered seeing before....it was Cloyd. Also, there were Wrights & Wilsons because I had been going through OT and had seen the correspondence of these families and the Daniel line. Once I was there, I went through their county history book and found a Wiley Crook m. to a Chloe Daniel.....my mind said CLICK....I've just seent this CAT in Drew History.......I began to follow these names.....they all tie to Ruth B Hyatt and Chester Co. SC.......so many overlapping names.....the Wiley kept turning up and the Benjamin, the Lucy, the Frances, etc........It just has to be unraveled, but there is a Fayette Co.History, and it does have Wilsons & I believe Wright.......I'm a firm believer that the root is going to be the well-known and famous Lewis family of NC & before that VA.......too many w/Lewis names.......In my gggrandmother's Lewis Howell Daniel family, the name was repeated over and over.....in fact, I wonder if many of the Louis brothers of my ggrand. were not meant to be Lewis but just had some spelling problems bec. they were not aware of their names' origins....<smile> In Fayette, there was a Sherril FAmily that had and Annie Broughton m. to a Shannon Phillips.....Uriah m. Judith Lewis....child David Lewis Sherril.......child James Gardiner/Gardner.....think of all the lewis names in the Gardner line...... There were also a lot of Browns/Jones/& Carpenters....in fact a James Brown Carpenter.....son of Sideny and Rebecca Anne Watkins Clay Carpenter.....think of Juanita Gibson history and the Clay family/Watkins bunch.......I'm also getting convinced that Allen is another of the connections. There was a John Carpenter b betw. l8l0/l820 NC and d in Fayette abt. l847...m. to Martha "Patsy" Parker.... The Washington name ties into the Lewises, too. There was a WAshington Cartwright........I have a Wm Washington Wells.......mother was a Ford .... grandmother a Horn.....just recently someone posed that I have a Washington WM in my Horns....all from NC....near Rowan/Davie/Wake/Johnston /Edgecomb area....... lots of Daniel names too.......Daniel J.
