A family of five children has been born Carolyn, thanks for posting---it was fun to see the name "Walthall". When I started first grade at Price Elementary School in Crossett, Arkansas, the first and best friend I made was a little girl named Jan Walthall. I have never run across that surname since we left Crossett in 1978, when I was in 4th grade. Little Jan and I corresponded some after we moved, but we lost touch and I have never known what happened to her. Thanks for the memory jog! --Melissa
