Hi, guys, this is your friendly list-mom talking. :-) Please remember to snip out excess material when replying to messages. We're seeing threads come across lots of times, and messages are getting longer and longer. If you don't know how to do this, here's a quick lesson: (1) Click "reply" (or do whatever action you normally do to reply to a message) (2) Look at all the text that got automatically copied over into your e-mail message, before you even start typing (3) Decide what information from the original you need to leave in so that your reply will make sense to others (may be a couple of sentences, or a paragraph...most likely, we don't need the entire original message, especially if it's pages long) (4) Take your mouse, click and hold over the beginning (or end) of the section you want to remove (5) Drag your mouse down (or up, depending on where you started highlighting) to highlight all the text you want to remove (6) When you reach the end of the segment you want to delete, let up on your mouse button (7) Find the "Delete" key on your keyboard and press it. DON'T use the delete option in one of the pull-down menus of your software--this will delete your entire message Now your message should contain only the segment of the original message which is germane to your reply. (How d'ya like that 25-cent word, Beth?) If your e-mail software works differently than expected when following the instructions above, please write me privately and we will try to figure out the delete options with your particular e-mail software. Thanks for reading! Melissa
