There is a James L. ROSS (52) Scotland, shown on the 1850 St. Francis Co. Johnson Twp. P.53 Census. It lists: Ann (36), Mary H (23), Sarah Jane (18)*, Margaret (16) Sidney J. (13), Benjamine (8), Elizabelth (6) Katheryn (4) and John (1). I am particularly interested in the Sara Jane who shows to be 18 at this time. Would anyone out there have this family in their line? My ggg grandfather, William Carroll RAGSDALE married a Sarah Jane ROSS but she was killed about three year after they were married and I can't find any rercord on her. Story has it they were married in St. Francis Co but I just found out today that records have been destroyed there three times. However, we believe they moved south (maybe Drew Co). Possibly, this is where she died. In any account, I would like to have her information if I can possibly find someone related.
