>Beth, a copy of the obituary will be in tomorrow's snail-mail. Anybody else? Thanks very much , Paul. Every since I learned this famed children's author was from Drew Co., I have wondered where she lived and to whom she was related. No one to whom I mentioned this seemed to know any particulars except they thought she was from the Selma or Florence area, but no one really remembered her or knew her history. I would appreciate any links to her present Drew Co. roots that you have. I teach English, and even though my students are in junior and senior high, most remember Charlie Mae Simons. I believe authors become more real if we can connect them with something familiar to the students. Thanks so much for your information and help. Just let me know if I can do anything in return for you. Also, how long did she live in Drew County? Thanks again, BETH
