Wasn't someone looking for info on C.F. Hudspeth?? Anyway, I found his wife's obit in the Arkansas Gazette, Dec. 1, 1929 page 18 col 4: Monticello, Nov. 30 - Mrs. Hila K. Hudspeth, aged 37, wife of Circuit Clerk C.F. Hudspeth, died at her home here last night about midnight after a prolonged illness. Until forced by ill health to retire from active work, Mrs. Hudspeth had served for several years as deputy clerk under her husband and formerly held the same position under her uncle, J.W. Kimbro. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one small daughter, Maynell; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. B.P. Kimbro of Monticello; two brothers, A.R. Kimbro of Monticello and Marvin Kimbro of New York, and four sisters, Mrs. Maude Patterson of New Jersey, Mrs. S.H. Leslie and Mrs. Luetta Sommreville of Monticello and Mrs. Vonnie Clark of Hope. Funeral services will be held at the Frist Baptist chruch tomorrow afternoon by the Rev. S.C. Dwood and W.B. Sullivan. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Does anyone know if the S.H. Leslie metioned above was Samuel Hunter Leslie who was a dentist in Monticello and was originally from Warren (Bradley Co.)
