Judy, you are a typical sister correcting her older brother, but go back and look at his note. He specifically mentioned that the NEW steeple of the Baptist church was completely blown away. We'll excuse this though because I love the stories and hope that Judy will share some of her neat reminiscenses ?sp of her early days at Drew Central. I have a sneaky suspicion that Robert and she are both story-tellers at heart as are many of you on the list. (She keeps me straight at D.C., too, or at least most of the time.) I love these old stories. I never knew what had happened to Mr. Ballard and that was very interesting. Once again, I only thought that there had been that one minor tornado out by the college. The next time a dark cloud comes I'm not going to feel nearly as safe if I am in Monticello as I did this past week. Here I was thinking that since we were the epitome of the Italian Monticello meaning of "nestled in the hills' that we were all safe from such activity and that it was only places , such as Warren and Hamburg, which have both been hit hard twice, that had to worry.
