My grandparents were REALLY good friends with Uncle Roy and AUnt Cora T ubbs....not really related, but this is what I was taught to call them. Their oldest son was Leon Roy Tubbs, and his daughter Linda and I grew up together in a manner of speaking(I graduated from So.Houstong High in TX), Louise m. Lester cannon, Margaret m. Gaston Haley,and Billy William Tubbs, m. ?. My grandaddy always referred to Uncle Roy's momma as old lady McGill or Granny McGill. I think she's buried at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Ashley Co. in its northern - most edge.........The Tubbs came from Ala....near Talledega....there are also some Tubbs in Marion, AL in Perry Co., AL.......Now, I don't know if this helps or not....Uncle Roy had a sister named Velma Moses and a sister Lottie Ferguson.
