Hello Cousins! I agree with the concensus so far: genealogy is more than dates and places. I don't mind the "clutter" occasionally but if it bothers some, why not try using the subject line to clarify the topic enclosed. For example, if it's a poem or short saying, maybe write "poem" in the subject. If it's a query, write "query". Maybe writing "question" or "chat" could be used when we're explaining a place or wondering who/where to write. Just a suggestion but it might be a middle of the road compromise.
