Hope y'all don't mind another Knowles post today. This is very exciting for me! Eleanor, I have the two youngest girls of Richard and Elizabeth reversed from what you show. Don't know if I made a mistake when I copied the census record, but I have in the 1860 census of Veasey Township, Drew County: Martha A. Knowles, age 6, born AR Loucinda Knowles, age 1, born AR I'm thrilled to have more info. on these women, and will look online to see what else I can find in LA and TX for them. The Winston County, MS connection is also interesting, as this was where William Knowles married Drucilla Teer. I feel sure that Richard John Knowles and William Knowles were brothers, but has anyone proved this "without a doubt"? Or do we just go with preponderance of evidence? --Melissa EleanorCol@aol.com (EleanorCol@aol.com) wrote: > 1 Richard John Knowles b: Abt. 1820 in Alabama >. +Mary Elizabeth Jordan b: Abt. 1824 in Pickens County, Alabama m: Abt. >1844 in Winston County, Mississippi > 2 Mary Elizabeth Knowles b: Abt. 1845 in Arkansas > 2 Sarah Jane Knowles b: Abt. 1850 in Arkansas > 2 Lucinda Frances Knowles b: Abt. 1854 in Arkansas d: 08 July 1906 in <snip> > 2 Martha Ann Knowles b: May 1859 in Marion Township, Drew County, >Arkansas d: 1913 in Ludington, Beauregard Parish, Louisiana Buried: <snip> >.... +Andrew Anderson Ozment b: 12 April 1854 in Veasey, Drew County, >Arkansas d: 23 June 1918 in Brookland, Sabine County, Texas m: 03 July <snip>
