The township is in the southeast part of the county. Only Crook twsp is between it and the Saline River to the west. Veasey once went all the way to the river. Marion twsp is to the north and Bearhouse twsp to the east. It is named after Abner Veasey who settled there in the early 1840s. There are no towns in it; two large communities - Lacey and Ladelle.
