Advance (Newpaper) Vol XII No. 51 Tuesday, December 19, 1905. "Small Pox at Wilmar. Small Pox has broken out in Wilmar. Thirteen cases were reported there Saturday morning, all white. It is supposed to have been brought to Wilmar from Blissville. A later report, Monday morning which came direct from Dr. Nelson gave the number of cases as 22 or 23. There were two deaths Sunday night. levi Wilson, a brother of L.B.Wilson of this place, and a man well known and highly estteemed here, and a 12 year old boy Will Staley. The deaths would seem to indicate that the disease is of a malignant type.
