Murlene, I have been looking back through some old email messages on the Barrett's, and one that I saved suggest that Reuben's son John married twice, and his second wife, Rebecca Stanton had a son, John R. Barrett. Could this be a connection? I would love for you to send what info you have, as I don't have the area of VA that Reuben was from.
