Hello Everybody, I am new to the list and have already met some wonderful people! Here is a list of the family names I am researching: FRAZER, BUSH, BROWN, BARRETT, WILKS FRAZER: I have only the name of my ggrandfather David C. Frazer... a possible date of birth 1838 in Lincoln GA. haven't found him on a census record yet. Don't know his wife's name. Had 3 children that I know of: _Chasteen born 1881 d.1936 md.J. R. Barrett in 1901; Minnie, md. J.M. Jeffers in 1896.she later lived in Hartshorne, OK ..died in OK about 1980; David Columbus "Lum" Frazer who died in the late 1940's in Detroit. Barrett: Most of these were from Southampton Co. VA.(Edward>Edmund>Jordan>Bennett> James W.) James W. came to MS with his family and died in Issaquena, MS after 1882. James Richard (my grandfather) and his brother Seymour were born in Jefferson, MS. " " b. 1859, d. 1943, md. Chasteen Frazer in 1901. They had 3 sons: James Bernard, Joseph Russell(my dad), and Robert Luther (all now deceased). Bush: My ggrandfather was Mirandy Sanders Bush, b.1854, MS, d. 1936 AR. Was in Drew Co. in 1875 when my grandfather, John W. Bush was born. Have not been able to find John's mother. His father ,Mirandy, married again before 1880 to Matildy Jane Scott. John W. Bush md. Catherine Brown. Their children were Roy Lee and Ruby Irene(my mom). Brown: (gggrandfather Ephraim Brown. b. 1812 NC d. ?(in AR) md. Susannah Longcrier ..b.1809 NC) (ggrandfather John Decatur Brown b.1845, d.1902, md. Sarah Rebecca Wilks b.1845 MS d.1921, Lincoln Co. AR ...this couple had 4 daughters, one of which was my grandmother Catherine Brown b. 1875, d,abt.1933, md, John W. Bush) Wilks: (gggrandfather William Wilks, b.1812 VA, d.??AR. md. Permelia ?...(This family moved from NC to AR before 1850.....my ggrandmother Sarah Rebecca Wilks b. 1845 MS d. 1921, AR md.
