Ark. Gazette June 2, 1914, Little Rock - Dr. S. D. Hughes, 48 years old, formerly of Wilmar, where he was a practicing physician for a number of years and a member of the State Board of Health, died at a local hospital at 6:45 o'clock last night after a lingering illness of one year. He is survived by his wife, one son, G. B. Hughes of Little Rock, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Hughes of New Gascony, and two brothers, J. F. Hughes of Monticello and Dr. A. A. Hughes of New Gascony. The body will be sent to Monticello at 8 o'clock this morning, where funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning, conducted by the Rev. J. W.
