At this point, Joy, I honestly don't know what to tell you - except that I doubt these could be his parents .... simply because of the death date. However, with the Hogue name, there has to be a connection somewhere. I've never pursued the Trantham side of the family. If I find out more info., I will let you know. The only thing I remember is that my uncle's name was Floyd, he was a barber, he had a wife named Minnie, and a brother whom everyone called Shorty (also a barber). That is the sum total of what I know about the Tranthams. My father was very fond of both Uncles Floyd and Shorty. For whatever reason, my father did not talk much about his Drew County relatives, and Floyd and Shorty Trantham seemed to be his family connection mainstay. I don't know if this helps in any manner, but my Father's side of the family is of course Hogue, as my previous email indicated and Myhand (which was his Mother's maiden name). How that ties in with the Tranthams I don't know, but perhaps you have some information that I don't have. I did look at my genealogy information and noticed an Anna or Anne Hogue as a daughter of M. George Hogue and Eliza Urcilla Hogue. They were my great grandparents, making Anna or Anne my Great Aunt. Anna/Anne was supposedly born around 1866 in Drew County. It is possible she married a Trantham. Or had a daughter who married a Trantham ...... which would have been more my father's age. This is all speculation, however, but I'll send to Ardrew and see what we get.
