    3. Ark. Gazette 1904: Tillar, Nov. 18 - Robert Irving, a prominent oil mill man of Lake Providence, La., and Miss Grace Carroll were married here yesterday at noon. The bride is a member of one of the most prominent families in the state, being a granddaughter of Judge D. W. Carroll of Little Rock. The groom is well connected at Morrilton and is a successful business man. The couple left for their future home at Lake Providence. The attendants at the wedding were: J. A. Dougherty, Miss Mamie Irving, sister of the groom, and little Misses Josephine McNally and May Bell. A number of relatives of the contracting couple from Little Rock, Morrilton and Pine Bluff were present at the wedding. Monticello, Nov. 7 - Judge Robert C. Knox and Mrs. Belle Penniston, both of this city, surprised their many friends here by a quiet wedding Sunday morning, the ceremony being performed by Rev. E. P. Kennedy. The bride is one of the most efficient teachers in the Monticello public schools, while the groom is one of the most honored and highly respected citizens of Monticello. Monticello, Nov. 7 - Jos. Brown, a prominent young man of this city, died at his home Saturday night, after a lingering illness of many weeks.
