Riner's life events. I should get a copy of the Riner probate record from Drew County. If you have a copy, could you tell me if there is any mention of Knowles in the record? You mentioned that Nancy's maiden name was possibly Redden. Could you let me know where you got this information? I am interested in exploring the possibility that Nancy Riner was a Knowles, the daughter of Richard Knowles, who also owned land in Township 24N, Range 5E in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. I should map the land parcels for Richard, his sons, and his sons-in-law to see how close they are to John Riner's plot of land. Richard Knowles and son William were in Winston County, Mississippi in 1840. Winston is right next to Choctaw County. Then, by 1850, Richard and William were in Drew County, Arkansas, as were the Riners. I haven't yet been able to find a marriage record for John Riner and Nancy. It seems like it should be in Tuscaloosa, if my theory about Nancy being a Knowles is correct. I'm getting ahead of myself, though. First things first. Could you help me find out the source for Nancy's maiden name as "Redden"? Thanks very much, and I hope we can work together on this Riner family, Melissa Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
