Ark Gazette Feb. 25, 1906 Tillar, Feb. 24 - J. T. Thompson, a prominent farmer near here, was taken into custody last night by Deputy United States Marshal Morton on a charge of peonage. Thompson was taken to Pine Bluff today for a hearing before the United States commissioner there. The outcome of this arrest will be watched with intense interest here. Thompson is a partner of T. F.
