Melissa: Thanks for the post about Mrs. Hankins, I should have sent it. She was truly a treasure to our town. We miss her very much and are so very thankful for the stories she left behind. It was such a pleasure for me to play the part of her Aunt Minnie Lee Wilson, who was the daughter of Nathan and Martha Sanderlin Edwards and the sister of Ms. Wilma's grandmother at the Rough and Ready Cemetery . Ms. Wilma told me it was very hard to play the part of her grandmother as it brought back many memories of the hard time of the early settlers of Monticello and her family. If any of you have stories about your family that you would like to share please send them to us at the Museum and we will place them in the archives. Wonderful folks like Ms. Wilma and Ms. Henri Mason will not alway be with us to share life in Monticello and Drew County. We have lost a special lady in the death of Mr. Wilma Hankins.
