I am looking for death information on WILLIAM HAYLE/HALE/HALES/HAYLES He was shown on the 1860 Drew Co cencus and in 1870 the household had hiswife Amanda and the children. I find no mention of him in the civil war records. I thought he may be the one who was killed by gunshot in 1870 but that William was in another county Can anyone help? BJ, have you tried searching in the probate records of Drew County? If William died leaving minor children, there may have been some guardianship records generated. It is worth a look.
