    3. There is a town (or at least a township) of Harmony in White County, 10 miles west of Searcy AR. I grew up in Searcy and remember my dad lay speaking there. Seems like there was also a cemetery with the church. Also, there is a town of Harmony in Johnson County about 30 miles NW of Russeville AR. Last there is a Harmony in Nevada County about 11 miles East of Hope AR. I'm sure there must be more towns of that name in the state. Hope this helps. Terri, I do not know Jimmy or John Downey Jones personally, but my mother does. They are her second cousins! They are grandsons of her g-aunt Clara Downey Jones. If you have an address please forward and I will send it to her. She was married in Monticello in 1956, I am not sure what year she graduated high school.

Eliza Jane Daniel daughter of Dudley Diggs Daniel and Emeline Curtis. George Ford along with his brothers Calvin E. Spencer (my g-g-grandfather) and William E. Spencer came to Drew Co Arkansas in 1853 from Anson Co. NC. The Daniel and Curtis families arrived about the same time I think (perhaps together?) By the way, the obituary for Ed Spencer that Jann mentioned last week I believe would be this Ed; and the marriage for Terrell Spencer to Ruby Ferguson in the same issue would be Edgar's grandson Terrell.

Yes, it does sound like a neat idea, but we would need a heck of a lot of space!! I just created a 9-generation chart for just my Loveless data, though I didn't print it out. It would be 80 printed pages, and would be 306 inches wide by 16 inches tall. This might give you an idea of how large a combined tree would be if we tried to add all our data together. The logistics alone are mind-boggling. Think of how many intermarriages between a few related families you have in each of your lines...then imagine combining that with others who have similar numbers of intermarriages! Whew! --Melissa

    3. Drew Advance 2-12-1895: We have had a snow since I wrote last and a right good time we had snowballing. It fell about 5 inches deep and there are still patches of it in sheltered places. Some of our people went rabbit hunting while others went hog hunting. I think the rabbit hnters had the best luck for rabbits are fat and hogs are not. The weather has been so bad that farmers could do but little work, and some of them have a bad case of blues in consequence. Old Sol has shown his welcome countenance again and everybody is busy making rails and clearing new ground. Postmaster Andy Hayes has gone to Tillar to work for Mr. Ed Grisham. Bro. Esmon Collins preached for us last Sunday. His text was Matthew 1:21. He preached a good sermon. Our Sunday School is still booming, but did not have any Sunday on account of bad weather and the burial of Mr. C. Brockman's little 4 year old daughter, who was burned to death Saturday. She was playing in the back yard with her little brother and had built a fire to keep them warm. Her clothing took fire and before assistance could reach her, was so badly burned that she died shortly afterward. Mrs. May Henley fell from her door step last week and was severely injured, but is getting along nicely now. Grandma Marshall died at Pine Bluff on the 2d and was buried at Old Mt. Tabor on the 5th. She leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss. Jann Join 18 million Eudora users by signing up for a free Eudora Web-Mail account at http://www.eudoramail.com
