Melissa: My surnames are: RODGERS/ROGERS (my grandfather was Richard "Dick" C. Rodgers, son of Eugene Rodgers, son of Richard W. Rodgers/Rogers who was born in Martin Co, NC) MILAM (I actually have the Milam line fairly well researched) GRUBBS (stuck with Elisha C. Grubbs, born in SC around 1800) SCOGGINS/SCOGIN/SCROGGINS (I have this line fairly well done, too) WELCH (Louisa Welch who married Richard W. Rodgers/Rogers, was the daughter of Mark G. and Sibbell Welch. I'm stuck with them) NEIL (Mary or Martha Jane Neil, mother of my great-grandfather, Almond Gwinn Milam) JACKSON (two lines: The first is through the Grubbs line - Elizabeth Margrett Jackson, daughter of Greenberry Jackson and Basheba LONG Phelps, who married Stephen Henderson Grubbs. I'm stuck with Greenberry Jackson and Basheba Long Phelps, although I'm pretty sure that her maiden name was Long and Phelps was the name of her first husband. The second Jackson line is through the Scogin line, which I have fairly well researched.) LONG (Basheba Long Phelps, mentioned above) HENDERSON (Mary Ann Henderson who married Elisha C. Grubbs. She remarried after he died to Joseph Welch. She was in Drew County for a while and then went with two of her sons to California. I'd like to know who her parents were.) These families were all in Drew County at one time or another. This is a good idea, Melissa. Maybe I'll find someone else researching my lines. Bettye, the reason I asked is that the Orangeburgh researcher have a site by Gene Jeffries w/early settlers of SC. My original ancestor was a Sibilla ??? Woolf/Wolf/Wolfe, whose son was Jacob, and he married Appolonia Shuler. They were in SC. This Sibilla was supposedly from Switzerland. I just thought you might be out of these. Hi, everyone, Here is a query from a non-subscriber. This is technically a Desha County query, but since Ed Sanders advised Mary Ann to write to the Drew list, I'm passing it along. If you have information on these WALLs, please write to Mary Ann directly at MWis910491@aol.com Thanks, Melissa ---------------- Begin Forwarded Message ---------------- Date: 12/22/98 8:44 AM Received: 12/24/98 11:21 PM From: MWis910491@aol.com To: ARDREW-l@rootsweb.com I hope I have the correct e-mail address. Ed Saunders said you are great people and that you might be able to help me located a family. the surname is WALL, they lived in Desha Co. Miss. Twp according to the l900 census. Jacob born l850 Ind., Minnie wife, Renz born l857 Ill, John born l878, Charles born l88l Ark, Annie l883 Ark Emma l885 Ark and Jacob W. jr. l892 Ark. am trying to find out when they died, what happened to their children, who they may have married, and the cemetery where they maybe laid to rest. I am just about to complete the RENZ family tree and this one daughter just up and left Indiana about l879, moving to Ark, never to be heard from. She left two brothers and three sisters. They attempted to locate them in l940 when one sister died and her estate was to be split among the siblings. Nothing was done about this, I am sure the money no longer exist. Any information you may find for me will be greatly appreciated. I have contacted the FHC and requested the l9l0 census for Ark, but that was back in Sept. and I still haven't heard from them. I did get to see the l920 census and I believe one of their sons Charlie E. is listed living near Hot Springs. Not sure on this. Please help. Mary Ann Thank.. ----------------- End Forwarded Message -----------------

Hi, Rebecca and all, Yes, I can post a list of all our subscribers to ARDREW...*but*, I know that some people are more comfortable "lurking" and don't want their e-mail addresses known. So, to be fair to everyone's wishes, I will post the current list of ARDREW subscribers on Tuesday. If you *don't* want your e-mail address displayed to all, write me privately at tsaritsa@ix.netcom.com and I will not post it to ARDREW. This should give everyone (including digest subscribers) a chance to read this mail and respond privately to me if they don't want their address given out on ARDREW. Thanks, Melissa
