He was often called by the nickname "Wash" Wall. I remember that he had a big orchard and grew really nice fruit on the Rough and Ready Hill on the old Troy Road which I believe is near the dog pound Any help is appreciated. 3. Thanks again, Carolyn!! Karen sent me the website for the Old Florence Church, and there was Nancy Adelia, a member in March 1872!! I was disappointed that John was not listed, and no children were baptized for them. Her second marriage to Wm Harville ("Harvell") is also listed in the minutes. One more little clue!! 3. Sandy, The museum is located at 404 South Main St. The archives is located right behind it but is on West College Street. There are signs in front of both. You can park at one place and just walk across the yard to the other one. I talked to Betty this afternoon and because the 19th is Sunday she will not be able to meet you before the regular hours. 3. Mary, Thank you so much for the information about the museum and the archives. Are they basically housed in the same place??? I am really looking forward to my upcoming trip and my time in Monticello. I will be visiting several of the cemeteries in Drew County, with an extra special interest in the two Beulah cemeteries down near Lacey. I look forward to meeting you and talking to you when I get there. My hope is to visit the museum and speak with you before I embark on my cemetery trek, just in case there's any specific information I may need beforehand. Thanks again, Sandy Lewis

    3. Hi Rebecca and list, Thanks for checking for Alice. I saw Alice's query and answered her direct. But thought I would put it on the list as someone could be looking for me with some good information. <g> I don't know what happened on my email as I receive email every day at the address I have had for over ten years - white@seark.net. My husband is Jimmy White of the Ozment White line of Possum Valley and not Doug. I have two Baker lines, Myers, Nobles, Chavis, Scott, LaGrone in my line. Would be proud to hear from other researchers on these lines. 3. Sandy, I work at the museum. It will be open on Sept. 19th. from 2 - 5. (Fridays we are open from 1 - 5. Sat. and Sun. from 2 - 5.) You do not need to make any special arrangements to see the museum during these hours. It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to do a tour of the museum. If you are wanting to do research at the archives - which is open same hours as the museum - you could spend hours there. Betty Kellum and Florence Parker are the two who work in the archives. I fill in if they are not there. I don't know if Betty would be able to meet you there earlier in the day to do research at the archives or not. I will make sure that she has this message and if she can she will get back in touch with you, Mary Lasiter ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sandy" <sjlbjf@ix.netcom.com> To: <ARDREW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 20, 2004 3:34 PM Subject: [ARDREW] Trip to Drew County & Monticello > Greetings Everyone, > > I will be making a trip to Baton Rouge, LA, in September and plan to > spend a week in Monticello, AR, to explore the cemeteries, museums and > sites.
