I'm a descendant of Francis Marion Spence and Emma Vickers -> Fred Spence, Sr. -> Aubrey E. Spence. Fred married Mattie Spivey, and together they had five children (Carl, Virginia, Aubrey E., Fred Jr., and one now living). Hello, I sent an e-mail much earlier, but it was refused. I believe it said "box was full"; I'm not sure. I was wondering if you received any answers. I am acquainted with a number of the Rodgers/Rogers family and would be glad to help if needed. They are living in Veasey Township in between the William Teer household and the Henry Pulliam household. Nancy Riner is a widowed head of household with several children (Robert, Richard, Lucinda, Nancy, Mary, and John B.) There is a John B. Riner in the 1850 mortality index. Ancestry has his age as "24" but when I look at the record, it looks more like 40 or 41 to me. Could this be Nancy's husband? Robert Riner patented land in 1857 and again in 1860, next to the James S. Grubbs land. However, by 1860, the family appears in Hopkins County, Texas, which also happens to be where Margaret White and her husband William Teer went. Am very interested to learn more about this family. Any information appreciated. Thanks, Melissa

According to the book ' Drew County Cemetery Records' the Gilliam, Andy Family Burial is a known cemetery with no markers. It is located by going 5 miles South on Hwy 425, then 6 1/2 miles west on Hwy 172. Southeast on County Road 7 approximately 2 12 miles then east in woods approximately 1 mile. (Sec. 8, T 14S, R 7W) Hope this helps some. It's located in the SE Drew Co. Hopefully the following link will work and take you to an interactive map showing the specific location. http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=33.47111&lon=-91.69417&datum=nad27&u=6&layer=DRG&size=m&s=500 I was able to visit there in March 2005--I have some ancestors buried there. Attached are a few photos I took; overall it's very run down and doesn't appear to be maintained. I don't have a complete listing, but below are some inscriptions of from the headstone photos I took while there. My guess is many headstones would reiquire a lot of searching to find again.
