Who remembers Mrs. Clara Barefield? She was the 4th grade teacher there in Watson in the late forties. She was also the mother of Mary Evelyn Barefield one of the prettiest girls in school. Folks, I don't mind tellin'ye that I kept up with the purty girls. I was told that Mary Evelyn died some years back. I don't know the cause of death but it was untimely to say the least.
