My husband's grandfather was David Oscar Porter, Senior who ran a saloon in Arkansas City and then moved to Dumas where he lived until he died in the 1930s. He had two brothers W. A. and E. M. and a sister Mary who was married to J. B. Jackson of Arkansas City. His mother, Mary Cherry Porter lived in Arkansas City with Mary. I began some research on the family after I married D.O. III. All family records were destroyed by my husband's aunt before she died so I have not been able to trace anything about the brothers. I do have a copy of J. B. Jackson obituary but no information on Mary or her mother after that. I would really like to know anything about the brothers and also where Mary Cherry Porter might be buried.
