Jann: The name Laconia seems vaguely familiar to me but I'l lost for the reason why. It isn't on my map. Neither is Napaleon for that matter but it was the first county seat of Desha County. At least it was a county seat of Desha County. I think it was the first before it fell in the river. Maybe Laconia fell in as well.
