I'm looking for a marriage of Jonathan EPPLER and Esther _____ HINDS, widow that took place in Van Buren probably around 1842. That is when her son, David Hinds, had her name removed as co-administrator of her deceased husband's estate - because of her remarriage. The courthouse burned in 1870 so I am hoping to find the marriage notice in a local paper. Are there Van Buren or Ft. Smith newspapers from 1842 in any archive in Arkansas? I need Esther's maiden name. I would like to correspond with anyone who has a HINDS ancestor in Crawford or nearby counties.
