Hi Bert, *When* I get around to it, ;>) I've got mom's (Lorena Moss Lancaster) 'Ancestors of Dyer' books which I've started scanning into my computer. It's a collection of obits from the early 1800's up to about 1976. It's a lot of work, but I'll get it done eventually. I've not yet decided whether I'm going to simply market the books -- one option -- set them up in electronic book format for use on a computer, or just post them on the 'net as freebies for all to use. I believe copies of these two books and of mom's three books on Dyer's history are all in the genealogy room of the Fort Smith library and, no doubt, in the Dora Moss library in Dyer. As you say, now that we have a list to discuss these things, it's a good idea to let everybody know what is available in the way of records. And, for the record, I'm the son of Irl and Lorena (MOSS) LANCASTER, who retired to the old Thomas/Dora Moss homestead in the 70's. The place is still occupied by my sister and brother in law. Through the Moss line, I'm related to quite a few people in Dyer. I'm working a little here and there on compiling and sorting out all of mom's genealogy work on the family; part of it is online at the URL below. trapper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John Lancaster, Freelance Business & Technical Writer http://www.ipa.net/~trapper/skeleton.html mailto:[email protected] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Researching Lancaster, Rogers, Moss, Haydon lines. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > > Greetings... > Now that we have a list to discuss these things on, I wanted to pitch > for information that could be submitted to the ARGenWeb archives for Crawford > County, which would make them searchable.
