I am at a dead end on a family in Crawford county and need to hire a researcher. I have found the following: 1870 census, Crawford county, Van Buren James Reed (24) -- born Tenn. wife -- Emily (22) -- born Arkansas (later census says Ind. Terr.) Son -- James P. (1) -- born Arkansas 1880 census Crawford county, James Reed (34) new wife Martha son -- James (11) daughter-- Lillian Jane ("Lilly) born 1871. 2 other sons with new wife Martha. Lillian Jane's mother was Emily. Emily then died between 1871 and 1876. I do not have any information about Emily -- other than she was part Cherokee Indian -- probably 1/2. I want to hire a researcher to try and find out information about Emily. Her maiden name -- her parents names (I think they came west on the Trail of Tears) when she died and where she is buried. When and where James and Emily were married? Other related information I know: James P. "Pink" Reed -- Emily and James' son married Matilda in 1890 in Yell County, Arkansas. Children of James and Matilda: Walter Reid 1/1891 born Arkansas, Roy Reid 8/1894 born Arkansas. James and Matilda moved to near Tahlequah, Oklahoma (Lowrey) around 1899 and lived there. Lillian Jane (Lilly) Reed -- my great grandmother-- married Marion Sylvestor York in Russelville (Gala Rock) in 1890. Marion Sylvestor York and his brother owned a cotton gin in Russellville. Lilly and M. S. York moved to Tahlequah around 1899 also and lived there until they died. Please email me if this is a job you would like to undertake. Also please tell me your research rates. Thank you. Judee
