I am trying to find my great great grandfather and grandmother in Arkansas and Oklahoma. With my grandmother and father dead, I am having trouble finding out information. What I know: 1870 census, Crawford county, Arkansas James M. Reed (24) and wife Emily (22) Child: James P. 1 James M. Reed was born in Tenn and his father was born in Tenn. and his mother in North Carolina. I do not know the names of this parents. I am guessing that Emily was born in an area that was Arkansas in 1860, Indian territory in 1900 and Oklahoma in 1910. I am guessing that her birth place may have been around Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Emily died between 1871 and 1877 after giving birth to a daughter, Lillian J. (Lilly) in 1871. 1880 Census -- Crawford county, Arkansas James M. Reed (34) married to Martha Children: James P. (1869); Lilly J. (1871); Luther (1877); Joseph (1879) I cannot find any record of James M. Reed and Martha after 1880. Lillian J. Reed married Marion Sylvestor York in 1890 and moved to Tahlequah in 1900. James P. Reed married Matilda in 1890 and moved to Tahlequah in 1900. I cannot find any record of James P. Reed after 1910. Lillian J. Reed and Marion York lived in Tahlequah until their death some time between 1928 and 1948. Does this match with anyone's information? Does anyone have any ideas of where to look next. I have searched for marriage records but cannot locate them. Thank you for your assistance. Judee
