    3. I have tried to send the note Penny sent about a decendents reunion of those who fought at Pea Ridge but I have not been able to get it to go. Everytime I hit send it come up saying they can't find this name. I delete it and try again and the same thing. I finely gave up. I know what you mean about losing things. I spend half my time looking for something. Betty Dear Wolf-Adams Family Members, I wanted to give you some highlights from our 2006 Wolf-Adams Family Reunion, held at the Salesville Community Center , June 24, 2006. We want to thank Dorothy Boynton for once again getting out Reunion together. Those that didn't attend missed a great opportunity to share Family Histories and to attend a Wolf Family wedding at the Wolf House. A descendent from Major Jacob Wolf son, William M. Wolf, (Gwen Wolf's line) was married on the Front Porch (river side) of the Wolf House that afternoon. She was the first Wolf family member to be married at the Wolf House for many years. Family members met at the Saleville Community Center for coffee and donuts that morning and to get in a little visiting before meeting everyone at the Wolf House , at 10 am , for the Family Reunion Photo. Next we went to the Wolf Family Cemetery. Bob Bounds and Emmit Acklin gave us information on Wolf, and allied families, buried at the Cemetery. Several photo's were taken at the Cemetery also. One was of Gwen Wolf, 94 years young, visiting the grave of her gggrandmother, Mildard Mereidth Wolf, first wife of Major Jacob Wolf. She was buried at the Cemetery in 1823, shortly after the family moved from KY to AR. We then met back at the Community Building for lunch with a business meeting following. Thanks Dorothy, Betty, Noreen and JoAnn in getting the food together. Penny Culver, President of the Wolf Family ORG.., opened the meeting. Each family member was ask to give a personal Wolf-Adams Family History and to add their names to the Family Tree and to sign the Wolf-Adams Family member scroll. Bob Bounds and Emmit Acklin gave us a update on the Wolf Family and Norfork History Books they are producing. They have two completed and are working on the third . They are doing the book to raise money to preserve and for the upkeep on the Wolf Family Cemetery. They want to raise money, to set up a trust, to keep the Cemetery mowed and preserved after they are not longer able to be the caretakers of it . I thinks this is a wonderful thing they are doing. They helped to bring the Cemetery from a jungle like mess to a beautiful Cemetery. Lets help keep it that way. Each book is $25.00. Update: the third book is complete and for sale. The fourth is almost complete. If you are looking for a Christmas gifts, they would make a great gift. You can order the books from Bob, Emmit, or Linda Bradbury. Linda's email is b/l@centurytel.net, Emmit's email is emmitdacklin@centurytel.net and his mailing address is, Emmit D.Acklin P.O. BOX 81 Norfork, AR 72658-8100 Emmit tells me they have some of No. 1 and No. 2 Books left , with No 3 Book completed and for sale. No. 4 will be out shortly. They plan to do four issues in all. After Bob and Emmit addressed the group we were treaded to some wonderful poetry. Family member , JoAnn Osborne, read several poems she had written. You missed a treat if you were not present. Next family member and President Penny present us with a short History on AR, Starting with it's first settlers, the AR Indian Tribes, and other earlier settlers, like our Wolf and Adams family among others. Many famous people have lived and visited in AR. Some were Sequoyah, who wrote the Cherokee alphabet, Dave Crochet, Sam Houston, The Clinton's and many more , to many to list here, and of course Sam Walton. Many Wolf family members help make much of AR History. Member from this family have cover much ground, traveling much of the world and one all the way into outer space. Penny covered much more than I have included here. Thanks Penny it was very interesting facts on our AR history and people. AR had such a rich history I take pride in knowing my ancestors were a part of it. Dorothy Boynton, our Family Historian, furnished each family member present with a Wolf -Adams Family Information Pack and CD, and gave us a update on new family information. Dorothy has contributed so much of her time and money in preserving our Wolf Family History, I for one would like to thank her for all the hard work and long hours she spends in gathering and persevering our history. Next on the agenda was to decide if we would like to continue with the Wolf Family Reunion, all present voted to continue. With Penny declining to continue as president, Dorothy made a motion to nominate Larry McQueary as president, Betty seconded, all voted yes. Noreen made a motion to nominate Betty to continue as Treasure. Dorothy seconded, all voted yes. All motion passed. Family members present voted to continue the Membership dues of $5.00 for each member per year. Dues will be use to help fray cost of the Reunions or to preserve the Cemetery. Dues for 2006-2007 are due and payable to Betty Brunson, P.0.B. 40, Franklin, AR 72536. Paid members for 2006-2007 year are: Betty Brunson Dorothy Boynton Lousie Wolf Carol Wolf Wayne H.
