Had Mr. McGee lived until Oct 23 he would have been ninty-seven years old. A member of the Methodist Church and a retired farmer he was recognized by his many relatives and friends as Uncle Billy. His wife Sinitha McGee preceded him in death in February 1957. Other relatives are three daughters Mrs. Milia Risley (Wiley) of McCune, Ks., (Wiley was ordained minister), Mrs Sophia Miller (Shorty), (was married to a Phillips, 2 Sons I want to say JW and Wylie Lee? dau. The pastor, Jewel Morrison was assisted by Sheldon Swaim. Mary Ann Hodges, was the baby in the combined family, Hodges/Mills Half Brothers Arvil (Wife Beatrice), Earl Hodges, Ray Hodges (Wife Reba) his parents from obit., Henry and Iva Hodges, Half Sisters (Hodges) Mayme Hodges (Brasuell Whittle), Ruth Hodges (Cox), died Borger, Texas--All Hodges-- Half Sister Thelma Mills (Married a James Mills, no relation, he died and married Roy C. Phillips)Phillips, recently died at ninty-seven yoa, Oct. 2006. Ellen Mills (married a Edward E. Gregg, no children) Gregg, age ninty-five, living with Linda Ellen McGee Lester, Lawrence, Ks. Health good. Thelma was in good health, living alone at home, entered hospital ten days before scrumming to old age, heart good, lungs wore out! Aunt Thelma, had one son, Darrel Mills, Lt. U. S. Army Air Corp. Died in the 50's, air crash, test pilot. Ft. Hood, Texas. My Mothers Mary Ann (Hodges) McGee, Mother Was Maude Snow, married Mills, he died and she married Henry Hodges, combining the two families together his five and her two and then the birth of my mother their only child.
