    3. Hi Duncan, When you are on a mail list like this one you get a copy of every message posted to the list. There is a John S. Jones, born 12-15-1834-died 7-7-1902 in Bolton Cemetery. Bolton may or may not be in Whitley twsp, as township lines move with the population increase. The township may have been Whitley, in 1902 and be something else now. I do know it would have been near or in the Old Belmont town or community. Gail, good to see you on the list, helping people. 3. Kathleen, I called Giles at the Eagle Crest Gold Club just now to see if he knew the township for Bolton Cemetery. The lines have changed but he is rather sure it is in Lafayette Township. Bolton Cemetery is in that area near the intersection of Dean Road and Firehouse Road. Amberwood Way is just east of the Cemetery. I have a first cousin buried there. The old Whitley township boundary is a little east of there, but is close enough. Whitley township is named after Whitley County (Williamsburg area) Kentucky. Many families from Whitley County, Ky (Creekmore, Meadors, Stephens, etc) came to that area after the Civil War and settled there. My wife (Virginia) is a Creekmore/Stephens. Virginia and I volunteered to be the editors of the Crawford County Genealogical Society publication. Would love to catch up on the O.Kelley/Smith/Steward family. The old Lark place where I live (Walker School Road) was a part of the Steward place that William got from his application to the U.S. Land Office, August 2, 1860.
