    1. Re: [ARCRAWFORD] John Wesley Mullen of Crawford County, AR
    2. We can discuss the folks email. I am from Crawford County and have been doing genealogy for many, many years. I have found the Mullen/Mullens surname spelled John had a son, Pleasant, who married Mary Ellen Roberts. Mary Ellen was the daughter of Sterling Price Roberts and Samantha Poe. I have this on Pleasant. TRIBUTE IS PAID TO PLEAS MULLEN by Mrs. Wayne Bonewell. Our community was shocked last Thursday evening, when word was spread that our old friend and neighbor, Bro. P. J. passed away about 4:15 o'clock. Bro. Mullen's health had been failing for some time, but was still quite active, he had walked to C. C. Coleman's for some milk and butter, when he returned home, sat down to rest as was his custom, and reported to his wife, that Charlie and Susie were fine. As she was putting the milk away, she heard him make a peculiar sound and hurriedly went to him and he just breathed a few times and was gone to his "award". Bro Mullen preached his last sermon Sunday morning at the chapel, where he has faithfully attend services for many years. His familiar face and his ever ready testimony of the Lord's love and tender mercies will be greatly missed. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord the righteous judge shall give men that day." 2 Tim. 4-7-8. Those from out of state who came here to attend the funeral of Bro. Mullen were: His four sons, Dorsey and Denver of Redding, Calif., Roland and Dallas and their wives and children of Seminole, Okla., Mr. and Mrs Roland Muller Jr. and child, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Kessinger and two children of Duncan, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. John Pixley, a half sister of Bro Mullen, two brothers, Arthur and Dolphis Mullen and Mrs. Dave Goodman all of Seminole, Okla., Mrs. John Mullen, Shawnee, Okla., Orville Pixley, a nephew, Bowlegs, Okla., and Mr. and Mrs. Everett Smith and children, Kansas City, MO, and Mrs Aaron, a cousin of Mrs. Mullen, Little Rock.

    3. Tonia, Thank you so much for the great info on my great uncle Pleasant Jasper Mullen and family. My great grandmother was Mary Arzilla Eugelia Coleman. The info on Pleasant mentions the neighbor Charlie Coleman. Do you have any info on the Colemans. Thank you very much.
