An exchange from Debra was interesting to me. James C. Ross (Cal) born 1838 was married first to Jane Meadows and second to my great grandmother Mary Ann Cain Creekmore after the death of their spouses. They lived and died in Crawford Co. Ark. but both came from Whitley County Ky. to Ark. Are these relatives of yours Debra. I have some history on the Ross family. Contact me if you would like to exchange information.
