Try switchboard.com to see if there is a Greer now living in VanBuren. You may need to spell VanBuren both ways - with and without the space between syllables. Regards, Nan 71532.734@compuserve.com

The SSDI ( http://ssdi.rootsweb.com ) has: BETTY E GREER, 30 Jun 1916 - 27 Nov 2002 (V). Last residence: Alma, Crawford Co. AR 72921. Last benefit: Van Buren, Crawford Co. AR 72956. SSN: 444-10-1492, issued: Oklahoma Perhaps you can find an obituary with the death date. Oh, Obituary Daily Times ( http://obits.rootsweb.com/ ) lists: GREER, Betty E ( ); 86; Alma AR; SW Times; 2002-11-29, so it was published. Ancestry doesn't have it on file, nor does "America's Obituaries and Death Notices" which I can access through my local library. Good luck, Valorie

    2. Janette Perryman
    3. On April 3, 1886 Frank Ibbotson founded the first newspaper in Mulberry. It was in the form of a six column folio. since then it has had many owners and many names, among them, The Mulberry Weekly Times,The Mulberry Gimlet, and last of all the Crawford County Bulletin. The last owner was Lee R. McDaniel. No, there is no longer a paper in the town. They use the Crawford Co Press Argus from Van Buren. Mr. McDaniel was the editor until he retired The Times was the first paper. I can find out for you if no one knows, but I don't think the records are available. Gail Cowart might know if they have them in the Alma library.
