Lisa Sherin, I just read on the Arkansas mailing list that Arkansas has no organized death index before 1914. Do you think it possible that we could start compiling our own? If everyone on the Conway County list would contribute the death dates of their ancestors maybe we could get a decent sized list built up. We could also do the same with births and marriages. Obituaries could also be included. I would like you to look at the URL below and see what is being done in Hamilton County, Illionis. This is where my father's family came from and I think it is the best thing I have seen yet in aiding people in search of their roots. I have been on the Internet for about 6 months and knew NOTHING about my father's ancestors and now I have almost completed my tree.
