    3. Hi listers, The marriage records of Conway Co, AR show marriages for the following individuals: David WHITE married Isabel Perlina TREAT on 30 Jun 1872 Thomas J HALL married Gracy TREAT on 15 Dec 1888 Does anyone have any information about the whereabouts of these families after the marriages? The TREAT girls were half-sisters, but all trace of them has been lost following their marriages. Thanks in advance for your help! The smallest clue could be helpful. Gary Treat

    2. Euna Beavers
    3. The Con. Co. Courthouse is in much better shape now. They are also putting records on computer. The computers are for the public use. They do not have the oldest information on computer yet. I am not sure just when they started the project, but they started with that date and are going back in time as well as keeping the new information caught up. Patrons are able to get printouts of anything on computer. The library basement which houses the Gen. department will be closed until the construction and remodeling is finished. The projected date for reopening the basement is soon after the first of the year according to head librarian, Zoe Butler. I understand that they did take some Con. Co. info upstairs but did not have room for much. Some members of the Con. Co. Genealogical Association are trying to do lookups for people in their own holdings as time allows. This is the way things stand at present.

    2. Is the bottom floor of the Morrilton Library (where the Conway County genealogical info is housed) already closed? Or is there a future closing date? I'm going to Russellville (and Morrilton) next weekend & would like to avoid an unnessary trip if the info is not available right now. Does anyone know what kind of shape the Conway County courthouse is in now? Last time I was there two years ago it was a mess.

    1. [ARCONWAY-L] DAVIS, WATTS, MCCUIN, RING, BROWN
    2. KELLY MITCHELL
    3. I am researching DAVIS, WATTS, MCCUIN, RING, BROWN. My greatgrandfather is Horace Greely DAVIS. He was born about 1878 probably in Arkansas or Missouri and was orphaned at a young age. He lived with a couple of different cousins while he was a child and did not know his parents' names. Horace's daughter thinks the cousins' names may be: John MCCUIN and Woody RING. The marriage record for Horace Greely DAVIS and Rhoda WATTS(who's family lived in Hector for awhile) shows he was living in Cleveland, Conway Co. Cleveland is about 15-20 miles east of Hector, Pope County, Arkanasas where a large family of MCCUIN'S are buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery. The father of all the MCCUIN'S buried here is John Frank MCCUIN. The Pope County marriage records show that John Frank MCCUIN'S parent's Isaac MCCUIN and Rutha BROWN married 16 Oct, 1873. The time frame seems right for this Isaac MCCUIN family to be the aunt and uncle and cousin that possibly raised Horace Greely DAVIS. Here is John Frank McCuin's grave McCUIN, John Frank B 24 Feb, 1882 D 12 Oct 1959 Spouse: Emma Harkins md.,5 Oct 1905 Pope Co/b 22 May 1890 d 12 Oct 1949 Father: Isaac McCuin Mother: Ruth Brown Married: 16 Oct, 1873 Pope County Also in Pope County is this marriage record: J.W. RING (groom) age 20 to Mary E. F. ATWELL age 18, 20 Dec. 1867,Pope Co. Horace may have moved with one of his cousins to Clevland in Conway County.
