Many of the Strouds were from the Liberty Springs area of Van Buren County, and then moved to Jerusalem, Conway County. Haven't yet seen the marriage record to know what county Nancy Jane and John Hicks were married in, but John Hicks appears in the Griffin Township, Conway County Census after Nancy Jane's death, with his 2nd wife, Laura Ann Jackson. First thanks to all the response to my question concerning the location of Overcup, that was a great help! I would like to correspond with anyone who is researching the STROUD surname in the Conway Van Buren and Pope County areas of Arkansas. What would be even better is if you were also living in that area. If you are, could you please contact me privately? Also if you know of someone and they do not have internet access, I would be happy to give you my contact information if you will just contact me. Thanks for all your help! -- Lisa C.
