Jones, who was an african-american school teacher in the Columbia or Ouachita Counties areas. He had at least two sons, Farris and Ardie. His mother's name was Jenny Ann Jones Scott, a sister named Victoria, and a brother named Pomp Jones, who lived in the Minden, Louisiana area.
