May I please offer a couple of suggestions when requesting a lookup from any volunteer on any mail list-- Be specific on what information you are asking for, "death date of Sam Jones in Waterloo County, AR" or "marriage of Sam Jones in Waterloo County, AR abt 1850-1860", "burial place of Sam Jones in Waterloo County, AR. His wife was Sallie". And it doesn't hurt to add the race of the person you are searching. It's amazing how many black and white JONES (or most other surnames) you can find in any County in Arkansas. Give the volunteer several days to get back to you with what information they have been able to locate. Remeber that you are not the only one who has sent a request, and your county mailing list probably is not the only county in which they perform the same service for others. Most volunteers are very busy folks and spend little time on research for themselves. Just help us as much as possible without sending your entire family tree. Thanks Doris Lindblad Lookup Volunteer
