James Monroe Burns married Ann Susan Burley in 1859 and had three children: Byron Lucius, Genio, and Frances Cornelia (my great-grandmother). He was murdered in1870, and Ann Susan next married Alvin Daugherty with whom she had two more children: William and Cornelia (Nell). Although Frances was born in Shongaloo, LA, I suspect that the family may have lived in Columbia Co, AR for a while. I have found a James M. Burns in the federal land records of 1860. Do any of these names appear in your research? I know nothing about my great-grandmother's siblings from either of her mother's marriages. Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
