Ina, I don't know Beach Creek, but my gg grandfather, Andrew CADDELL had two sawmills in Columbia County during the 1850s-1860s. They lived in the Waldo community. He died in 1862 in the Civil War fighting for the Confederacy. After his death, his estate was sold and my gg grandmother left with her minor children and settled in Hopkins County in East Texas.
