Is Waldo also in Columbia County? I am still trying to find obituary on Myrtle Norwood who died the 21st. She died in Magnolia hospital but at one time a few years back lived in Waldo. Not sure where she was living(town) when she became ill and had to go to the hosptial in Magnolia! She is suppose to be buried in the Mulberry Cemetery in England(Lonoke County) Arkansas. So i am not real sure where to find her obituary? I thought in the place where she died? Belva
Did you try the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette? If she died in AR it's probably in there. Magnolia is the county seat. You will find vital statistics there. Waldo is a smaller town in Columbia County. I too am looking for family buried near Waldo, the Parmers. I would check newspapers in and near Waldo and also in Magnolia. A mention in more than one is very possible. I don't have names of papers to check for you at the moment but if no one with the information responds e-mail me back and I can ask a reference librarian for you. Hi, Belva-- Waldo is in Columbia County, about seven miles north of Magnolia. I checked the BANNER NEWS web site (www.bannernews.net) for obits and the papers that I still had and did not find the obit for Myrtle Norwood. Do you know the name of the funeral home? The ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT/GAZETTE web site = www.ardemgaz.com. Sorry that I could not find the information that you needed.
