I was trying to find out exactly when he moved to Columbia County. I know he taught school there because my grandmother, Pinkie Eugenia Dismukes Parham, was one of his students. He also farmed. There is a plaque in the National Park in Vicksburg with his name on it--having lead forces from Tennessee in that battle. His brother, William, was also in that battle. Hi, Your Parham's were in Columbia County like my Parmer/Palmers. Have you ever known these families to be the same or related? Just wondering as my family liked to change it's name alot. Any thought appreciated. I have my Parmers back beyond AR in the 19th century into the 18th century. Thanks, cassie Linda Bamburg wrote: > I was trying to find out exactly when he moved to Columbia County.
