I would like to contact anyone who knows more about the subject John W. Curry to clear up some lingering questions, e.g.: Where and when did John W. Curry die? He is listed in the 1880 Columbia Co. census, but I have been unable to find a record of him after that. Where was John W. Curry when the 1850 census was taken? He is not listed in the household of his father, Robert M. Curry, in Chambers Co., AL 1850 census, nor is he listed with his two brothers, William N. and Thomas J., who had moved to Lafayette Co., AR by 1850. Does anyone know what the "W." in his name stood for? I have yet to find a record where his middle name is used. Could it possibly stand for "Wheeler"? (The latter question, if the answer is "true," would provide a very important confirmation of an hypothesis that I am now working that indicates his mother might have been a Wheeler.)
