Saddest day of my life. I traveled with him many times to visit family in Magnolia, Arkansas. His brother and sister, which I knew as Aunt Eunice and Uncle Archie lived there, along with numerous cousins, one being Travis. We also visited family in the Dallas/Mesquite, Texas area as well as Aberdeen and Sherman, Texas. He also had another brother who passed on at a young age before I was born. He served in the U.S. Air Force and participated in the Berlin Airlift after Russia built the Berlin Wall. While stationed in Liverpool, England he met and married my grandmother Hillary and my father, Robert James Dodson was born there before they returned to the US, being stationed at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Alabama. Settling down in Montgomery they also had my aunt, Lynn Dodson. He retired from the Air Force and then began a career with the US Postal Service from which he also retired from in the! early 1980s. I called him PauPa and not a day goes by that I do not remember fond memories of the greatest man I ever have known.He is buried by his mother & father as well as many other family members in Magnolia, Arkansas.
