Very interesting. I have seen the Foster name around my Reeds, and also Lorenzo Reed. In my records, Eligah J is the son of Anna/Annie Herron and has a sister names Sarah/Sally. They must be connected but I can't wrap my hear around it! "We have been told that Elijah Herron may have been an uncle either to my great grandmother Barbara or her mother Sarah Herron Foster. we had a land grant presented to Elijah J Herron by President Grover Cleveland. I do not have this anymore as all our family records disappeared after the death of my great aunt. This area of the family is very difficult to trace as they change names frequently. In 1880 in Taylor,Arkansas the census shows Annie Herron living with her son John B. Herron her daughter Sallie AKA Sarah Herron and her granddaughter Barbara Herron. Barbara was my great grandmother. When she married my great grandfather she had changed her last name to Adkins and stated the her fathers name was William Adkins.
